According to the Maine Climate Council, more than 82,000 heat pumps have been installed in the state since 2019. Efficiency Maine currently offers significant rebates and other incentives for homes to install them. However, technicians who install today’s heat pumps must have special training that meets Efficiency Maine’s requirements. Technicians with this kind of training are in high demand!

Please bear in mind that our 40-Hour Heat Pump Training courses require that you already have your EPA Section 608 certification. If you do not, you may want to consider enrolling in our HVAC-R Professional Certification program or our Air Conditioning and Refrigeration program, which includes both EPA Certification training and this Heat Pump course in the curriculum.
