At MEMA Technical Education Center, we provide training to students of different backgrounds and ages. Many are just starting their professional development. Others are making the significant choice to change career tracks. Opportunities in the HVAC-R sector are fantastic, and MTEC wants to help you receive the training you need without overstretching your finances.

At any given time, between 30% and 50% of MTEC’s students are receiving some form of financial assistance!

Here are a few resources we recommend if you need financial support to attend our programs.

Five County Credit Union

You can receive quick and affordable financing through Five County Credit Union, enabling you to start learning at MTEC immediately!

With Meritize, you can enhance your credit evaluation and improve your loan options by sharing your academic, military or work achievements. Providing this information lets you get credit for your merit and fund your education.

Maine Blue Collar Scholarship Foundation

The Maine Blue Collar Scholarship Foundation is committed to awarding financial assistance to dedicated individuals pursuing a career in the trades. Many HVAC students at MTEC receive funding from this group.

Maine CareerCenters

We work closely with career centers across the state to subsidize tuition partially and fully for many students. You can locate your local career center and receive more information.

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs — GI Bill®

So many of our students have come from the armed services. The HVAC-R industry is a seamless fit for veterans looking to continue serving the communities around them.

Nearly all MTEC programs are approved for the use of GI Bill benefits. We encourage veterans of all service backgrounds to apply!

MTEC makes it easy to earn while you learn!

Are you still concerned about your financial status? We appreciate that students have obligations outside of our training programs, including day jobs. That’s why we offer evening classes, so you can continue working while you receive your education. We can also help you arrange affordable lodging while enrolled.

And unlike courses at a four-year university program or community college, MTEC’s programs can be completed in a few weeks. It’s the fast track to a secure, rewarding career!
